Melissa Houghton
Writer Melissa Houghton has over 10 years of experience in copywriting and content. An expert in hospitality and travel, Melissa, has stayed at over 160+ hotels, including Michelin-ranked resorts, hostels, and Airbnbs. Currently pursuing her MA/MSLIS at NYU and with an undergraduate BA in Film and Media Studies from Temple University, Melissa studies cultural anthropology through the lens of travel, food, and text. She has completed a competitive fellowship with the Carl Safina Center, in addition to a Zine Internship at NYU’s Bobst Library, as well as the Gardnier Fellowship at the B. Davis Schwartz Library at Long Island University, where she honed her skills in content curation, digital archiving, research, independent publishing, and travel. Melissa, who has visited 25 countries (and counting) also currently authors an independent quarterly zine, Driftyland, that examines travel through inspiring films. At Oat Foundry, she uses her wealth of experience in B2B, B2C, and agency writing and project management to oversee editorial on the website, social channels, and blog.
